Its good to read reviews of company's you might be thinking of buying from but it only gets four stars because Trustpilot asked me send proof of purchase and to edit my review of yodel which I did,I got the email its gone live which it has not its still blocked ,What was the point .Changed to Five stars as my review of yodel has just been updated.
If you are a customer, you can blackmail, bribe, coart, or get free stuff from any company just by threatening a false review with Trustpilot.
This company does not care who gets hurt, and will not let a company remove itself once joined which surely must contravene membership laws.
As a company holder, I now have various fake people slating my company - people who not even used my company but have been told to register on here.
I will be contacting trading standards as TRUSTPILOT is full of fake reviews - just look at THEIR OWN REVIEWS!!
(Being trustpilot - I expect they will delete this review..)
Getting good honest reviews from you customers is very helpful. The downside can be when you make a mistake ,you pay for it by receiving a lower score. It does however keep the staff members on their best behavior, making sure they do the best they can to please the customers.
Can we trust a reviews website that has such a low rating themselves? How ironic! Will not bother leaving future reviews as you just get hassled by TP staff to provide evidence of a transaction when the review is not 5 stars. I only leave reviews when the company I have bought from have sent me a request to review anyway. Terrible.
We have found the system easy to use and user friendly. The feedback and help we have received from customer service has been good and they have provided useful suggestions.

We have been using Trustpilot for a couple of months now and are really impressed with the service we're receiving. Everything works really well and when we did encounter a small glitch, it was sorted out very quickly and efficiently by the very helpful team at Trustpilot. I would definitely recommend them.
As with other reports I have also been told my report on Yodel is against the TOS.
What garbage. It is clear to me that honest complaints are not acceptable on this site.
I do not mind as I will start my own thread about TrusPilot and its practices on my own recommends blog.

Offer an alternative to Facebook connectivity. Luckily for you I hate such strong feelings about a website I wished to review, this took precedence. But really, stop hunting after my personal details.
We bought out a website over 14 months ago, we have proved to trust pilot on numerous occasions that we bought the website and it is under new ownership.
However, Trust Pilot refuse to accept the transfer of domain from the hosting company as proof of change of ownership.
Then they have the cheek to call asking if id give them money to renew the trustpilot account.
Following on from reviewing a company TrustPilot contacted me saying my negative review of said company was in breach of their guidelines. I edited by review to bring it inline and it went live. It was taken down again immediately and I was asked to provide evidence to my purchase. I sent an invoice I had from the company and imagined I would see my review live again. This is not the case. I'm now being questioned on what I purchased, as if that is relevant whether I bought a chair or a table! The important point is that I have complied with every single guideline and my review is still not visable. I find this completely unacceptable and certainly not unbiased as they should be.
You ask for a valid order number to validate your review, when you supply it, you then reject it based on the company that doesn't like your review. Very underhanded, very shameful, I do not trust this site, its moderators and it only seems to look for good reviews, not real life ones based on the truth !!!!!!!!!!!!!

this will become an international standard
We are an independent Travel Agency based in Kent, operating for just about a year now. Winning over new customers, and gaining their faith has been our biggest challenge. We have now been using Trustpilot for about 4 months now, and it has generated quite a few leads for us, and helped greatly in converting them to finalised sales. We recommend Trustpilot for any business!

This site is set to become the TripAdvisor of online businesses. By confirming users, Trustpilot addresses a major weakness in traditional consumer review sites.

Trustpilot has created a simple suite of tools to make it easy to invite customers to leave a review of your site and service.
I see that some reviewers of Trustpilot itself are not happy that their reviews of other companies are temporarily hidden whilst they're investigated. I've not personally had to question any reviews - all of our customers are invited to leave a review by email and if they follow the link their order number is automatically passed through. But if we received a negative review that didn't come through that validated route, and it wasn't clear who the customer was, I'd also challenge it and ask the customer to provide their order number. As well as making sure it's a genuine review, I'd want to understand what had gone wrong and learn from it.
Dissapointed on the number of reviews we are getting back via Trustpilot.
I often use Trustpilot when shopping online, whenever I am in doubt or want to compare companies.
Good Experience all round.
We signed up for the trial and noticed very quickly how easy it was to setup and get going. Chatting to the representative on the phone was a good experience, no pressure to carry on and a good deal once we decided that we would go ahead. Being able to send out reviews to previous customers was a great help. The facebook and Google integration is brilliant and worth the monthly fee just for this.
Does what it says on the box!
Really impressed with the results!!
Did exactly what we required from a review supplier
Easy to use and good customer service. Would have no reservations in recommending
Valued service that enhances any e-commerce platform
Trustpilot always provide good support.
The trustpilot scheme works really well.
It keeps all our staff on their toes so they go that extra mile to keep the customer happy.
Its Working really well.
We found trust pilot simple to integrate and use. With clear instructions and some useful modules, we are enjoying the feed back provided by customers.
Excellent customer service, as always.
If you have a serious problem with a website, Trust pilot will not let you tell it to 100%. Although claims have Paypal evidence, Police, etc, you can not express your accusation here. You can only say I was wrong purchase.

After writing a review for another online company I was then contacted via email to ask me to verify that I was indeed a customer of this company, I find this disgusting and totally unexceptionable that they have the audacity to call me a liar and basically accuse me of writing a fake review, this will be the last review I ever write for Trustpilot, Trust? there is no trust.

Negative Reviews get reported and deleted by companies who pay a fee to trustpilot. I will never take a review seriously again on trustpilot.
Shameful.

Review edited after replies from Trustpilot staff.
Magnus was able to clear up the enquiry and the original review has been reinstated.
Relevant portion of original review below:
After leaving a negative review for a UK electrical retailer my review was marked as "not genuine" by the retailer.
Trustpilot has effectively hidden the review whilst it is under investigation. As the reviewer I would expect to be asked to provide evidence to support my review but this has not happened.
The system of allowing businesses to "hide" a negative review pending investigation allows them to cheat the system by removing the large number of prominent red negative comments until the review has moved off the front page of reviews.
Once the "investigation" is complete there is a possibility that the review would be relisted but by this point it is likely that it will not be prominently displayed as the newer reviews will take precendence giving the impression that a company may have previously had complaints but have now addressed the issues.
