this is a shop i am in daily, they sell all sorts of things just for a pound, i buy all my toiletries and cleaning things out of here.totally fantastic and most of the staff very helpfull, its very busy all he time showing how populaar this shop is xxxx

Tatty, but what do you expect?

Poundland is a "does what it says on the tin" type shop.

What the future holds for it, who knows. I always love the 99cents store in the Simpsons wild west, where you could get a piano and other expensive items for 99cents. Obviously inflation will eventually mean repositioning is needed, but until then I can use it to get a few quirky things I can't get elsewhere - Like pickled Garlic (yeap, hooked after a trip to Norway).

Poundland it's is pretty tatty, but you get what you pay for and thing are very cheap there.

Use then

Get in there and grab some bargains

Cash in your pocket is better than cash in the big retailers bonus pot.

My favourite shop to first look for household items. Why pay more when you get same quality product cheaper. Often I have been surprised by high quality products that pound shop sells.

No snobs shop here!

Why is it i can buy brand name things for £1 here that cost me twice that elsewhere? Because its a good bargain shop but some folk wont go through the door due to snobbery. Fools!

No frills but some great bargains

What you see is what you get.Cheap and as long as you know the goods will not last for ever.Although some tools bought have stood up very well.Easy to buy stuff you don't really need because it is cheep but it is cheep because the quality is lacking.
can take a long time to be served but they are not M & S.
Despite the above I often find great bargains.

Staff attitude and small shop with out much room,

Shame you cant order online - shop can get very packed and there is more products than actual any where to walk! Alot of the time i see shop lifters and point them out to staff but they seem uniterested in doing anything. Returning items that you have bought because you have used them at home and they broke can be a task... I bought a very very large mug that had a rather thin handle when my hubby had a hot drink the handle came away from the mug and hot tea ended up all over him, but pound land on returning tried to replace with a small mug! i said my hubby wants a large! she said fathers dad is over and there all in the warehouse..after complaining she gave me my money back.. So expect poor quality items and poor customer service.

Fun shopping

This is the only store I get my son to run wild in choosing whatever he likes. Always enjoy great stuff from poundland :)

Don't expect quality for £1, but good for browsing.

Normally buy toiletries as they sell top brand at a lot less. Sometimes find a bargain.

Excellent shopping in this store...This retailer knows its customer base and goes with it....helpful staff....and I will always take time to look around the shop......

Bargains galore

What's not too like here? I love the place, it's a right little gold mine for all sorts of things, you name it, they have it, for ....... yep, £1! Despite what you might think they do sell branded goods, my latest bargain, 4 Duracell hp7 batteries for £1. You will find that some of the cheap branded items aren't the same size as you would get in say Tesco but they are still cheaper, like Toblerone.

Just love this shop for all sorts of items, again why pay the prices of other supermarkets when I can buy from poundland and save myself money.
Bleach is bleach, dish cloths are dish cloths, etc.,

I returned a pack of car headlamp bulbs with the receipt that it were
obviously faulty without opening the blister pack,and was told to find another one.....but it was the last one so when i said this to the assistant she said "NO REFUNDS ALLOWED SO PICK SOMETHING TO REPLACE IT"...i said i didnt want anything else, but in front of other customers she said it was company policy,so i had no choice...I complained again and a young man eventually appeared and gave me my pound back...what company argues over a pound...SO MUCH FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...

great shop for basics

I am amazed at many of the products you can get in this shop for the price
I would only use it for basic stuff but there is plenty of that in their shops
always a pleasure and a surprise when I shop here

Fabulous Bulbs

Where else can you get 3/4 Dahlia bulbs for £1. Last year they all came up and lasted all summer so hoping for the same this year

I love looking around Poundland but sometimes wonder about the sources of their merchandice.

I get a lot fo my business stationery from here.

These guys are cheaper for bugin things like folders, envelopes etc... than some wholesalers and definitely much more then WHSMITHS.

Smiths were selling an expanding pocket folder for £5 and I got a similar one for just £1!!

It's funny sometimes you hear people having conversations like is it really £1.00 yes it certainly is in this time of austerity and people being hard pushed, it pays to shop around and this is the place to start, they have so many great items both in foods and hardware goods, in fact you could get half your weekly shop here and make great savings, just take care to look at item and think of price outside, as some of the items are as expensive if not more so.

Incredible value.

Don't ask how Poundland can do what they do for the price, ask how everybody else gets away with charging two or three times as much for the same products.

Okay, so there's some stuff you wouldn't buy (but obviously somebody does) but I always come out having bought more than I expected.
