I've just received and thoroughly enjoyed my order from dominos, I've used them several times before from work and never had any real issue. The one time the order was late, we were kindly given the same order for free next time.
The android app is excellent too. Makes the order process a breeze and the notification system is a really cool idea. Delivery was surprisingly quick (20 minutes).
Had to ring the store as I wasn't sure if I had left a part of the order off. Staff were extremely courteous and helpful.
I realise some franchise in some areas may be different to others but, up in the north east, the stores do the dominos name a real credit. I'd recommend them to anyone.
So as a valued customer, the nice guys at dominos sent me a 50% off voucher, offer excludes ice cream. When I try and order the computer says I haven't reached minimum spend of £30. Ramp the order up to £40 and still no. So I ring them on the number on the flyer. Rude little man makes me read the whole of his own flyer and then reckons pizza only. How about I try elsewhere pizza dude. I'll be round in the morning to shove your voucher up your nose
Below average pizza, mediocre sides, awful wraps-- sorry, wrapzz! The only decent sides they used to have (which have now been discontinued) were the mozzarella sticks. Dessert wise: their cookies would be hard to differentiate from a lump of sugar, though the chocolate melt isn't half bad.
Verdict: Avoid. You are more likely to get value for money (not to mention quality) from a local pizza place than from Dominos.
I can see from the majority of reviews that there are a lot of sucky dominos out there. But we seem to be fortunate enough to live nearby to a fairly decent one in Falkirk. Pizza is always toasting, everything ordered arrives and delivery men are polite. Bit on the pricey side but I guess this stops us buying it too much!
Here is 3 stage complaint I have made during the disastrous and infuriating past 4 hours that Dominos has been kind to gift me on the best Friday night of my life to be remembered. I have replaced the exact store name and address with the stars just in case but you will see how they will treat you if anything goes wrong on their part. I will try to update the review if I EVER hear back from them.
STAGE 1 Dear customer services team,
I have long enjoyed using Dominos and have been a very loyal customer for more than 3 years. I would not usually rant over an email or a phonecall but the amount of disrespect and frustration that one of your shops gave me tonight has led me to write this email.
The shop in concern is ******. I can understand Friday night is rather busy for the shops and all but it really is frustrating to be given the sort of treatment that I have received from the shop tonight. I have ordered at 8:10 pm for a delivery, which took over 100 minutes to come, for which I waited patiently and showed a smile to the driver despite the long wait. When the driver rang my bell, I opened him the outer door into the flats and once it felt like he is taking too long to come upstairs I've even went outside to look for him and save him a hassle of getting lost (the flat structure is very simple and it is almost impossible to get lost here with the information provided with the order itself anyway). After having spent 5-10 minutes outside in cold weather I found the driver who was rather disrespectful and full of discontent. He was shouting at me at first sight and intimidated me immediately.
Not just that, when I received the products I informed him that he had not brought me the pizza and only side orders, he was giving me the look of doubt and interrogated me about my order and the price paid. Realising also that the side orders have gone cold themselves he took them back to the shop saying sorry but by this time he had shown me enough disrespect to not to want to use Dominos again.
So I rang the shop to ask what had happened, where I was asked to wait for them to call me back in 5 minutes. The call never came even after 20 minutes so I gave another call. What happened then was me being put on hold for more than 5 minutes for the manager to pick up the phone, where he just said 'hello' and cut me off without saying anything. This was rather infuriating as the fault was on the side of Dominos shop and they were treating me as if I am a spam caller. When I rang again and said "Look, this is not how you should treat your customer." the new guy on phone told me "you'll have to wait another 30-40 minutes for your pizza and what we can do is give you a free pizza for your next order". I accepted the apology but 1 free pizza is not going to bring back a ruined Friday night, of which 3, maybe 4 hours are spent on waiting for the bloody pizza (I am still waiting for it). The guy on phone did not even make a proper apology and was saying things like "We're busy there is nothing we can do about it." Please do something about it as it is absurd having ruined a precious Friday night getting treated like a beggar on the street, maybe worse seeing that I am your customer who paid for the service and was patient enough to deal with the rude driver, just to be given the disrespect over the phone, being told to wait indefinitely, being cut off intentionally after being put on hold, and being told "What do you want? We're busy enough" after all that hassle.
Thank you greatly Dominos, really thank you so much. Unless you do something about this and inform me of the measures taken I am done and through with you, and will share with my family and friends of the disrespect and disregard I was given. (at least discipline your employees/franchises please, not to treat your customer like this when THEY KNOW THEY HAVE RUINED SOMEONE'S WEEKEND- saying you'll give me a free pizza without giving me a proper apology after all that has happened does not solve the problem at all but just offends me even further)
Dear Customer services team,
My order number is *****, from the store *******. The original complaint message is copied below from the original email. I would also like to add further details to it that the pizza still has not come even after the promised 45 minutes: now it has been almost an hour and a half since the last phone call and I am just tired of waiting. It is completely absurd that a customer who had placed an order more than 3 hours ago and had been denied a Friday evening due to the faults of the store is not given any priority whatsoever after all the disrespect and disregard having thrown at him by the rude driver and the rude employees on the phone, despite the level of patience I was able to demonstrate, not shouting on the phone after all that has happened. I believe that as a human being you understand the value of the long waited weekend just as I myself understand that the store can be busy on a very cold, rainy Friday evening. I am completely and thoroughly disappointed at the attitude of your employees/franchisee dealing with my order and I almost take it racial that I was given no priority or concern whatsoever after all the treatment I was given as shown below. The promised pizza came just now, exactly 3 hours and a half since the initial order (which is more than 90 minutes since the time the 45 minutes promise was made), and funnily enough they only sent me 1 large pizza, knowing that I have initially ordered a meal deal including Garlic pizza bread, Twisted dough ball and Potato wedges. The driver went back with the pizza again to the store and I have no idea now when I would be able to have dinner. I know there is nothing much you could do for me at this point but I would just like to say that this is unacceptable. Again, I am very impressed at how much disrespect this store can throw at my face.
I really hope to be hearing back from you, as I expect that anyone with proper mind will find my "best" Friday night experience ever infuriating at least, especially when all I wanted to do was to treat myself a nice hot pizza after a hard, tiring week. I did not even expect the order to be here soon, which was the reason for my initial patience after having waited for 2 hours. But now I am really really disappointed and infuriated that the store has done enough to give me the sense that they are intentionally and perfectly mocking me.
STAGE 3 Further to my previous emails, let me add details about the quality of the food. Pizza has gone half cold despite the physical proximity (less than 50 meters) of the store from my place, wedges are undercooked and almost tasting like raw potato and my garlic bread is more like garlic crust- more than half of the circle is crust and there is merely a patch of actual garlic cheese part. They have been kind enough to give me an extra, proper garlic bread but really this store is mocking its customer to the maximum extent. How I am able to enjoy this pizza I have no idea at all. I eat only because of mere hunger and I hope you know that. Thank you greatly again for ruining my Friday night. This experience will never be forgotten.
Used the new App on my I Pad to order my meal 2 hours in advance of collection. Got to the outlet and it wasn't even ready. In fact, it wasn't even being made. I had to wait 22 minutes for it to be ready. The worst thing is that I had to look at the stupid wallboard the whole time with it telling me that I only had to wait 7 minutes.
It would have been 5 stars as the pizza was perfect and your Chicken Wings are a revelation!!! (I mean seriously, are those things Chicken Wings, or Angel Wings?!?... My taste buds were fist bumping each other :D)... NOW, ON WITH THE SHITINESS... Your so called "cookies" :?/ were by advertisement Giant Cookies, but upon arrival were nothing short of a box of LIES!!! They were small, gooey and extremely sweet... They looked like cookies, felt like cookies, but THEY WEREN'T COOKIES!!! Dough is your business, you have the potential to make GIGANTIC COOKIES, instead you offer these tiny soggy flap-jacks... Please, stop this madness. As your penalty, I have deducted a full "star"
We never order pizza but as a treat went for the 14.99 offer, which was so heavily advertised on TV. Never trust adverts, they lie, it was nothing like it was depicted & tasted much worse! Possibly the lack of topping, it being cold, smelling foul, looking like it was made with the no possible care, helped towards its total failure. Never buy pizza from dominos, as you'll only be very disappointed and hungry, because you couldn't possible eat such bad food.
Ordered my pizza at 8.25 for home delivery from teddington branch and called 3 times an hour later to track my order but no one would pick up. I decided to order a pizza from another local pizza company village pizza and my order was delivered within 45 minutes. Two hours 10 minutes later at 10.36 is my dominos order delivered the same order that I had ordered at village pizza but costing an extra £8 for a cold and slightly smaller base. The man still insists I pay the full £19.80 even though this order has gone straight in the bin. I am really quite angry as to what has happened and I hope that my review is taken into account and acknowledged by both the customers and dominos as a company.
Cold pizza when it arrived. Using their own watch as it happens. Order taken, prep, cook etc It come out oven and sat for 5 mins then when checked for quality and delivered 35 mins later it didn't come in a heat bag on a cold wet winter night. No point complaining nothing will be done. terrible service
This is the third time in a row that when ordering a two for Tuesday deal from the Swadlincote branch they have failed to recognise the allowed menu changes to a pizza order. YES they do offer recompense for their error but I would much rather they actually get the order correct, after all I am the paying customer who does expect to be given customer satisfaction. FOR A CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We ordered 2 pizzas and 2 garlic breads for a family of 6 after being out all day Saturday. Everyone was starving having waited 55 minutes for the pizza man to come. We tipped him and couldn't wait to get stuck in. All were completely cold. One was not the pizza we ordered. We phoned the manager East Sheen branch and were told it was Saturday and they cannot be expected to guarantee that the pizza arrives warm! His advice was to phone head office. It was 7pm. We have agreed to never use Dominos again.
I ordered a 'special' £14.99 dual topped pizza with sundries. A dual pizza is where you get half of your pizza with one topping and the other half with a different one. I thought at least one of the topping would taste good but no, even cheese and ham seemed to be too much of a challenge for Dominos. They may be spending all of their money advertising how good they are - I ate a piece of bread with mold on (by mistake) in the past and this tasted better than the pizza I had last night and I would rather eat some mold than buy a pizza of stalebreadinos.
Ordered 2 pizzas last night. Got only one. Of course they can never get it right. This is the third time it's happening. I've given up now, will forget dominos forever. I don't understand why such a poor service with premium prices? Worst of all - no one apologises for any mistakes (stinky attitude) Guys, I'd love to see the company close down in due course.. Hear that DOMINOS!!??
Here is an email I sent to Domino's regarding the ordeal I undertook attempting to order food, do have a read as an insight to what is in store if you are looking for some late night fast food...
Dear whomever it may concern, I am contacting you regarding my complete and utter dissatisfaction at the service I received from your branch last night. I will list in depth the lengthy process I had to go through in order to receive my food. Firstly, I placed my order late last night at a total amount of £56.93 online. I was informed that my order had been confirmed at 03:14. I then called your branch at 03:36 to inquire as to what time the food was likely to be delivered as it wasn't stated online, I was informed that my order was nonexistent and to wait for a call back. When I rang back again at 03:40 I was told that I did in fact have an order but as it was over £50 it needed confirming by the store before the order could be processed and therefore had not been taken! Considering the fact I hadn't been informed of this when I rang the first time I was baffled and upset as I had multiple hungry people to feed. Also, on the 23rd March I made an online order with the subtotal of £80 and I can assure you this was not the protocol, it seemed that my order had been forgotten about and excuses were being made! I was then told to wait for another call back to confirm my order- which may I add I have a screen shot of my online order confirmation at 03:14! I did receive a call back this time and was told that my order will now be processed; this was at 04:21 which is completely ridiculous considering I confirmed my order at 03:14! I spoke to several different members of staff last night and was told different things by all of them and each member of staff treated me with the same level of disrespect and equal disregard of compassion. I didn't feel that ANYBODY took any responsibility for the mistake nor was anybody even mildly apologetic.
I made another phone call at 04:56 to check on my order as by now and as you can imagine I had no faith in your system and was told that there was no record of my order! I asked to speak to the manager and your very rude manager told me that my order was on its way. I am exasperated as to how your business functions.
At 05:07 I had an incoming phone call from your driver telling me he was outside- of course he wasn't. I waited another 20 minutes whilst trying to find the driver; I had to walk 5 minutes away from my address at this time of the night to find him. At this point I was exhausted from the drama and extremely hungry. Your driver was equally rude, unapologetic and actually told me in a very sarcastic way to 'give the right address next time' which he stated as he showed me the address written on the order which was my correct address- the address I and my flatmates have received multiple orders from beforehand. Just to add insult to injury one of the pizzas was dip-less. No discount or even apology was offered at one point and I ended up spending £56.93 on four pizzas (minus one dip), three wraps and an evening of anguish at the hands of your business. I am adamant that something be done about this as I really love your food and always have done and will be very unhappy if I have to move on to less enjoyable late night take-a-ways due to NO fault of my own. I understand that you will be as shocked and disgusted as I am and will do everything in your power to amend your stores wrong doings and I am grateful for this, please get back to me as soon as possible so I can once again sing Domino's' praise and order again soon and will no longer be forced to tell the events of last night to my friends, family and social network followers. Yours faithfully..
Avoid like the plague. Worst pizza I've ever had. Text message marketing is also a scam with no clear way to take up any offers. Delivery guy must be skimming his own tips when he refuses to accept offer.
So I ordered food on Saturday from stamford hill, london. The food was over an hour late. Turned up stone cold to royally top it off I now have food poisoning. To say im annoyed is an understatement. Never will I use them again. And I advise anyobe else to stay clear aswell! -10 rating! Wil be contacting the food hygiene people In to take a visit to their branch
Usually acceptable but last order took two and a half hours from Dominos Elephant & Castle, then arrived cold and on wrong base. Not what you need when you're hungry. Our movie was long finished and the whole evening was a bit of a disappointment.
